As mentioned previously I was running down the cache of Seti so that I could update the machines with the latest optimized app. It went something like this...
As they finished off their old Seti work I have uploaded the results, reported them, shutdown BOINC, updated app_info, removed older apps, put new apps in place, restarted BOINC, allowed new work and told it to update project. Repeat 5 times quickly to cover the entire farm.
The machines have now returned a few results and it shows a good increase. Astropulse 4.35 was taking 20-21 hours to complete a work unit. Astropulse 5.00 is taking 16-17 hours to do the same work. Once again a great effort from the optimizers.

Hello.
I followed the blog, and I have other issues. I recieved Astropulse 5.00 a week ago. I have been computing 33 hrs, and I still have 98 hrs to go.
My machine is not the youngest, but still.. My CPU is Intel Northwood 3,06 with 4 GB RAM, so that should do it. And yet some 130 hrs of computing. Howcome?
Hope You get it, as my mother tongue is danish and not english.
PLS reply to kennedy@pc.dk
Kindest regards.

Same by me:
I'm using Astropulse 5.00 on a AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+. My computer computed on the workunit for 68 hours and still has 93 hours to go (finished 15%). Something seems to be wrong with this new Astropulse-stuff ...
If you have issues with the applications I would suggest you have a read of the Seti message boards. There are many knowledgable people on there from all over the world so you may even find someone who can help in your native language.
